CENTRAL TENDER COMMITTEE
The Executive Bureau comprises of the Central Tender Committee which is structured as follows:
-The Chairman
-Deputy Chairman
-2 nominated Public Officers
-1 nominated representative of Chamber of Commerce
-1 nominated representative of a Non-Governmental Organisations
2 nominated representatives from professional associations, nominated by such associations
The members are appointed by the President under Section 14(1) of the Public Procurement Act 2003, to serve for a term of office of three years.

he Central Tenders Committee carries out the following functions in relation to all public sector tenders over 500 Million CFA Franc
Receive and open tenders
Oversee the evaluation of all tenders
Approve all tender recommendations and awards
Approve requests for pre-qualification or other methods of procurement
Provide guidelines for public sector procurement on behalf of the Financial Secretary
Objectives
The objectives of the Central Tender Committee are to:
- Ensure that public sector tenders are carried out in a consistent, fair and transparent manner in accordance with all related legislation and policy.
- Maximize value for money in public sector procurement.
- Encourage competition through supplier participation in public sector tendering.
Ensure supplies are treated equitably. - Maintain public confidence and trust in public sector procurement through accountability and transparency.
